ABOUT
US
Durham University Malaysian Society (DUMAS) is a welcoming, tightly-knit student group which seeks to share Malaysia's culture, warm hospitality and delicious cuisine with all students at Durham University. DUMAS also gives its members a platform to network and bond with each other and other Malaysian Societies in nearby universities. We are an all-inclusive society and encourage everyone, wherever you are from, to become a member or simply join our events - many of our members are indeed not Malaysian!

Durham University was founded in 1832, making it England's third oldest university after Oxford and Cambridge. The University's 17,000 students, of whom 21% are of non-UK origin. The University is known for being a residential collegiate university, mirroring the collegiate systems in place at Oxford and Cambridge. Durham is a historic city in the North East of England, home to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Durham Cathedral and Durham Castle and beautiful scenery along the River Wear. Durham is around 3 hours by train from London.
